Making Abstinence Popular as a non- profit organization.

Talk It Up Communications™ is a Christ centered organization that empowers families with the communication skills and confidence to talk about sex, pregnancy and relationships. To raise the level of awareness that sexual abstinence outside of marriage is not only possible but it is 100% safe all the time.

Scriptural Basis

The Need for Talk It Up Communications™ is based on Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Some people for generations have carried the burden of sexually transmitted diseases alone. This fear factor may have led to unhealthy choices that affected the rest of their life and their community. Why? Because they were scared, overwhelmed, misinformed and felt misunderstood. This produced feelings of isolation and estrangement. “In the United States, many sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s) continue to represent a significant disease burden and public health challenge. How Can We Help?

“The Lord says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Talk it up Communications™ (TIU) purpose is to assist Parents and Youth… to “be informed” and to “get involved”. Changing Rhythm with the community as parents, youth, pastors, private organizations, non-profit organizations come together in one place to understand the burden of the people. Talk It Up Communications is a diverse organization and therefore presentations are available for diverse cultures. It is our goal to meet the needs of each community. No longer shall the sign read “For members Only”. Sex education is not just for our teens but it is to inform the community, the body, and the people of the change and changes to be made.

TIU™ is able to assist in the following areas:
~Provide accurate information about sex, pregnancy and STI’s,
~Provide individual Counseling for parents, youth, and families,
~Provide counseling for those struggling with past abortion,
~Provide referrals for those who may be pregnant,
~Provide referrals for pregnant women needing housing, and
~Provide 24 hour prayer line.

The Results of Coming Together

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” Thus removing the burdens of isolation and being misinformed. Communication is a spoken and unspoken language that is exchanged between two or more people. There must be a sender of the information as well as a receiver with both of these elements in place it opens the door for understanding. Understanding leads to - Opportunity for Discussion- and discussion - Results in Action. Talk It Up Communications™ is Changing Rhythm with the community as you’re Making Abstinence Popular!

Our History

Talk It Up Communications™ began speaking on Abstinence in January 2000. The mandate of encouraging our youth and parents grew with passion as Michelle Bailey seen the countless lives of young men and women become trapped by the whispers of society because of a lack of knowledge. It is then that Michelle said “Yes” to the mandate placed on her life and Talk It Up Communications™ took the stand Making Abstinence Popular and became a non-profit organization February 2006. It is during the transitions in life that we often stop and throw in the towel not realizing the opportunity to grow was right in front of us. Motto: Never Give Up!
